We installed a solar pool heater because the gas heater that was installed when we bought the house rusted out and was no longer usable. We’ve enjoyed our pool a lot more since then. Sounds crazy living in South Florida and having to have a heated pool. When the water gets below 86 F we just don’t enjoy going in the water. Since installing the heater in June, 2007 we get great pleasure in knowing that a bit more of the energy from the sun that we are bathed in every day is being captured and used.
We chose South Florida Pool Heating to do our installation because they use the HelioCol roof panels. We believe that they are more hurricane resistant than other types of solar pool heater panels. They have survived five hurricanes since we installed them.
