My rig was constructed by Brooks Leffler. It is a pendulum rig with dihedral aeroydynamic stabilizers and a small shock absorber at the top of the pendulum as used by Craig Wilson. My favorite camera is an Olympus Stylus Epic. |
| My own neighborhood here in Southern Florida was the best place for me to begin experimenting with my kites and new camera rig. These shots are mainly the result of experimentation and practice shots to learn the optimum altitude and pointing techniques. |
| This series of images was taken at the Treasure Island Sport Kite Festival near Tampa, Florida. My crew and I worked the festival on the last day when the wind was perfect. Some of the vertical shots taken late in the day with long shadows are interesting. I have included some ground level images of some of the subjects to provide perspective. |

| Every year Lake Worth, Florida holds a street painting festival. Nearly 500 artists work for two days to create incredible temporary works of art in chalk on the asphalt. If there was an event that was created just for KAP this is it. Tricky though with buildings and wires to navigate. |
