Bob and J-3 Cub during a biennial flight review This section of our website focuses on both real and simulated aviation experiences. Bob has always had a fascination with things that fly. Kites, balloons, weather, and airplanes have always been of interest. Sailplanes, commonly known as gliders, have been of special interest. We have owned three different sailplanes.

Bob stopped flying actively when his arthritis pain made the experience of sitting for hours in a small plane too painful. He continues to enjoy flying in a virtual world using his PC and flight simulator. Working with a friend at Dartmouth College up in New Hanpshire he has created an exact simulation of the State of Florida. This simulator scenery has become very popular with many people.

Bob also flies an electric powered RC Helicopter. For learning he chose a model called an LMH Corona that has proven to be durable and fairly well mannered. Bob relates that, "This had to be one of the most difficult things to master that I have ever attempted."
